Gong Hei Faat Choy - Welcome to the Year of the Sheep

Over 80 members performed in the Chinese New Year festivities over the weekend - and many more came to support. Groups performing were:

YYY - our gorgeous pre-schoolers
3 dance groups from the girls aged 5-12
cHip cHop
Lions and percussion
Dragons and percussion

An awesome effort was put in co-ordinating the groups, training, logistics, costumes. The event creates a huge amount of positivity, it is a great experience for all involved.  It generates huge profile for the Centre and we have some fun along the way.  Special thanks to Vince Sue, Juliet Young, Aaron Lee, Carmen Mak, Liane Young, Denis Chin for co-ordinating everything behind the scenes.  Thanks to Rita Tom, Linda Lim and Steph Tims for producing yet another fantastic weekend too!

It was wonderful to see so many families enjoying the delicious asian food, variety of performances and entertainment at the TSB arena and waterfront for the parade.  Photos will be posted up soon, so watch this space!

But its not over yet, the following events are coming up in the next month:

Lion performances for restaurants - 21-22 Feb
West Fest for dance girls - Saturday 28 Feb
Dragon Boat festival for Dragons 14 and 15 March
